I am a philosopher. I figure out how to live right and share my findings with others.
I got a Bachelor’s in Philosophy at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

As a philosopher, I am always open to new experiences and able to learn quite fast. This led me to open a leathercraft shop called Wellspring Leather, formerly ЇJAK with my university friend Bohdan Bushko. I also gained valuable work experience as an educational projects manager in You Control. I fixed dashboards for Suspilne.media with my friend. Trained data visualisation at Softico. Tried my hand at design and SMM, working for Zebra Driving School and doing some branding for Wellspring Leather.
These experiences didn’t make me an expert, but I got rid of fear of starting something new. Got good or mid-level skills in each of these areas and can always improve. All it takes is reading more books and practising.
Philosophy taught me that fearing, overthinking in general is pointless. If you fail, nothing bad will happen. Because there’s nothing serious about human life. I understood this after reading fragments of Democritus. His determinism pointed out that we don’t have free will. We just imagine we do because we can’t function otherwise. Everything is already determined. If we had a powerful computer, we could foresee everything that would happen forever. But we don’t have such capabilities now.
Yet the idea of determinism didn’t break me. Quite the contrary, in the end it made my life better. I combined it with basic stoic and absurdist ideas and came up with a promising thought. You can live a very successful life without worrying. Everything is predetermined. Our sense of free will is just a delusion, but a valuable one, therefore I say that
Everything in the world should be divided into interesting things that are worth loving and ridiculous things that are not worthy of attention
Yes, there is no space left to be sad, bothered, scared. Negative emotions can really just be omitted. They are useless, nonsensical in our world. So why would you need them? Why would you encourage them?
I can’t say that I fully embraced this idea, but it makes me happier. With time, I get used to it and my life improves. This is just one example of many ideas in philosophy. This idea can make you happy. If you are interested in such a content, check out essays section on this website. And feel free to contact me if you have any questions, suggestions or criticism.
